Rockwall and Rockwall-Heath 2026: The Crosstown Game Is Now the Season Finale
Rockwall ISD’s two 6A programs have always played each other. What’s new for 2026 is that the game now decides district standings — and it lands on the last Friday of the regular season.
District 10-6A, 2026-28
UIL realignment put both Rockwall schools in a district with both Forney schools:

Eight teams, seven district games. For Heath and Rockwall families, the practical effect is that five of your seven district opponents are within about 30 minutes — Forney, North Forney, and Royse City are all short drives down or across US-80. Only Longview and Tyler Legacy are real road trips.

Heath’s full non-district slate wasn’t consistently published as of early August, but three district games are confirmed by their opponents’ schedules:
- Fri, Sep 25 — Forney at Rockwall-Heath, 7:30 (home)
- Fri, Oct 30 — Rockwall-Heath at North Forney, 7:30 (away)
- Fri, Nov 6 — Rockwall at Rockwall-Heath, 7:30 (home)

Why November 6 Matters More Than Usual
Crosstown games are always loud. This one is the regular season finale with district seeding on the line, at Heath. If the two programs are anywhere near each other in the standings by then, it’s a playoff-position game disguised as a rivalry game.
Buy tickets early. Leave earlier.
The Fall Schedule Problem
Rockwall and Heath families run one of the more brutal fall calendars in the area: high school Friday nights, youth league Saturdays, and for a lot of households a commute that already eats the weekday evening.
Two things help.
Train on the days football doesn’t touch. Monday through Thursday, 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. That’s four days a week football has no claim on, and an 8 p.m. Tuesday session survives a season that a Saturday morning one won’t.
Use the pre-game Friday. We’re open 5 a.m.–10 p.m. Friday. A morning or early-afternoon Friday workout is the one that reliably happens; the post-game one never does.
The Drive from Heath and Rockwall
We’re at 127 E US Highway 80 in Forney, on the south side of the highway. From Heath that’s typically 20–25 minutes down FM 740 and 548; from Rockwall proper, around 25 minutes via I-30 and 205 or straight down 205 through Rockwall to Forney. Worth it or not depends on what you want. We’re a locally owned 10,000+ sq ft gym that’s been here since 2001, with infrared saunas, a full free-weight floor, and $19 every two weeks for an adult. Family plans start at $31 and carry no annual fee at all.

Saturday Morning
Our free HIIT class runs Saturdays at 9 a.m. in Studio X — 50 minutes, coach-led, all levels, open to non-members. On a Saturday when your kid’s game is at 11, it fits.
