Memberships

We have recently restructured our membership options to be more aligned with what our competitors are offering. The vast majority of our customers will sign up for individual memberships that are $19 biweekly, that number now with tax included. The First "Month's" Dues are charged to the nearest Friday, so it'll just be a couple bucks, and members will pay dues biweekly on Friday's. Instead of running no enrollment fee schedules or anything like that, we have a permanent $0.99 enrollment fee if the member signs up for an annual contract, otherwise its $59.99. With the annual contract the cancellation fee is $59, so there really is not penalty for signing up for the annual contract instead of the month to month program, but we understand that people like choices. With these changes, most members should be able to get started for under $10.

The annual fee is charged 90 days after sign up, and is $39.99 + tax, which comes out to $43.29.

For Couple's, i.e. two members, we basically keep the same annual and enrollment fee as with the Individual plan, but there is no discount--its $19 biweekly times two, or $38 biweekly.

Children for Kid's Zone can be added to any plan for $11 biweekly.

We still have a paid in full plan, and I did the math and its just a slight discount over the other plans. We do save a very small amount in credit card fees if the member pays in full, but otherwise its the same to us if they pay in full or have a membership.

Overall, we are confident in our offering and the value we provide, which should only increase in the months to come as we continue working hard to make positive changes to the gym.
